The Life of Lukas

First day of January and working on getting my site up and running.  Hopefully this year will be the year that God… or some other appropriate agent will hear my cry and make this work.

Luckily, my passion allows me to take an interest in what will hopefully earn me a decent living.  Fingers crossed as to hoping there are enough like-minded people out there to cover all the purchases I’ll need to get this puppy off the ground again.

In other news, a career change is imminent.  Small, privately owned companies are beginning to show me that I need to aim for something more…corporate… in order to be taken seriously.  Hypocrite, me?  Definitely.

So many decisions and so much to think about.  Where does one start?

I’ve been feeling a little odd lately.

I feel like I want to just drop what I’m doing with my current job and go and do something of my own… Something freelance?  Something creative?

Whilst I’m just about living the dream in terms of the career I wanted to follow, I’m still feeling like it’s not mine.

Is anyone ever truly content or do we live our lives to move from one thing to the next, or at least think about doing so?

It’s times like these where I ponder as to what makes us want to share our thoughts, ideas, experiences and education with the world.

Do we feel obligated to help others by providing our perspective on a particular topic?

Maybe we like to get our ideas out into a shared format where others can share views that we may not have thought of before.

It could simply be that we want to flaunt our intellect with others.
